The Road Back to Iowa!

July 14-20, 2025 This has been such an amazing trip – and we still have one last leg to go!  We left Salt Lake City and made our first overnight stop at Fort Bridger RV Camp in Wyoming.  This was only a couple of hours away, which gave us plenty of time to explore Fort Bridger once we arrived. Some months ago, we watched the television series American Primeval , which piqued our interest in the fort.  The series really is based on history, although in true media style, it sounds like a lot of liberty was taken in a very dramatic fashion. Fort Bridger just happens to be located on another popular route  –  the Lincoln Highway.  These were well- used cabins for travelers on taking Hwy. 30 west to Oregon or east to New Jersey! Bonus Time with the Petersons!

July 8-14, 2005 After a few days on our own following Glacier National Park , we found ourselves back with Brandon and Anne’s family at their home in Salt Lake City, UT.  They always have fun days planned for us during our time with them!  It’s hard to know where to even begin!  I guess I’ll start with a few of the kids’ activities.   Josh is absolutely hooked on cross-country running.  It’s great to see him have such passion for this extra-curricular activity! The team meets from 8:30-10:30 each morning and it is definitely something Josh will not miss.  Along with this appetite for running is his hunger for food.  This 15-year-old can really eat!  When dropping him off one morning, he mentioned Chick-fil-A would be a nice post-workout snack, so it was fun to make that happen for this growing teenager!
