Antelope Valley - Acton, CA
November 11- December 2, 2021 Welcome train at entrance to Soledad Canyon RV and Camping Resort Site #176 in Soledad Canyon RV and Camping Resort was home during our visit to Antelope Valley. The campground is located about two miles from the small town of Acton (population of 7,232). It is surrounded by the Sierra Pelona Mountains and the San Gabriel Mountains, giving us scenic sunsets and amazing views! Again, the hummingbirds were very prevalent. Keeping the feeders full was a challenge I was up to! The campground’s high desert location gave us yet further experience with the dry, dusty nature of the desert climate in December. Given the alternative of snow, I’ll take dry and dusty! Mistletoe was everywhere in this campground! I mistakenly thought mistletoe was a shrub. Nope!
